From Bellver de Cerdanya, a small town in the Catalan Pyrenees, Sergi always considered himself a sport and mountain lover also if during the adolescence he had a very unhealthy lifestyle that led him to be overweight and fear for his health, but running in mountains tooks a 180 degree when he was 19. Started running simply to get fit and improve his health, he discovered a true passion, winning the Catalan Cup in the U23 and Overall categories only two years later passed then to get different podiums in the Spanish Championships. Following this passion, he became part of the Catalan National Team and was able to make the debut in Skyrunning World Series races reaching an overall 4th place. Until now he felt competitive in distances between 20-40k, but the goal for the next few years is to increase the distance little by little towards the Ultras.
