Unlike traditional waterproof constructions that rely on a separate membrane bootie, HDry® is directly laminated to the inside of the upper, creating a lightweight one-piece waterproof barrier. This seamless construction eliminates the gaps where water can collect, helping keep feet drier and more comfortable in rain, mud, and wet trail conditions.

Is Trailope HDry waterproof?

Can water enter the shoe?
Like any low-cut trail shoe, water may enter through the collar opening if the water level rises above the ankle opening.
What is HDry®?
HDry® is an innovative waterproof and breathable technology developed by the Italian company Altexa srl. Unlike traditional waterproof footwear that uses a separate membrane bootie, HDry® uses a patented 3D direct lamination process to bond a waterproof membrane directly to the inner surface of the upper. This creates a compact and seamless waterproof barrier that prevents water from penetrating and accumulating between the outer material and the membrane while helping maintain breathability, flexibility and fit.
How is HDry® different from traditional waterproof footwear?
Traditional waterproof footwear often relies on a separate membrane sock or bootie located inside the shoe. HDry® technology laminates the waterproof membrane directly to the upper, eliminating the space between the upper and membrane where water can penetrate and accumulate. This helps keep the shoe lighter when wet and allows it to dry faster.
