Vibram developed the Demon sole exclusively for Merrell. The support surface is sculpted to support traction and conserve stability, assisted by a semi-rigid TPU insert in the heel and the sole of the foot. The design and depth of the Vibram TC5+ rubber tread allows the ball of the foot to stay in contact with the terrain.
