Over the first weekend in July, a special event took place in the run-up to the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) race. The five athletes selected for Team Vibram UTMB® met for the first time in the Aoste valley in Italy.
The goal of the three-day event, organized by Vibram along a part of the UTMB trail, was not only to scout the itinerary ahead of the race, but to promote team spirit among the members who are of different nationalities and have highly diverse personal histories, but who all share a passion for racing and the desire to push their limits.

Raphaël Bodiguel, Candide Gabioud, Giuseppe Marazzi, Johan Serazin and Marco Zanchi thus had a chance to meet during a weekend of training before heading to Mont Blanc for a very challenging race at the end of August.
This first official meeting for Team Vibram UTMB® was also a moment for the five athletes to learn more about the particular set of values guiding the Vibram company and brand. In addition, they field tested the racing equipment supplied by Vibram and the team's technical sponsors.

The three days ended with a very useful reconnaissance of a part of the race itinerary between Courmayeur (Italy) and La Fouly (Switzerland) under ideal weather conditions. That splendid last day, combining physical effort and good humour, is certainly a good sign for Team Vibram UTMB®.
