First time at the Explore Sweden race for the Lafuma Vibram Team. After last year participation in the South Africa, Spain and Ireland dates of the Adventure Racing World Series circuit, this year the Swedish race seemed to the team sponsored by Vibram to be the best period to be strong enough.

The 2010 edition of the Explore Sweden (July 9-17) - the sixth of its kind - will take the racers from the tip of Lofoten on the Norwegian Atlantic coast over the high mountains, across the border, and down through the Swedish river valleys to the end of the race on the Baltic coast in Piteå. The race course will cover 840 km and teams will travel through vast forests, on rivers, oceans and lakes, and in the high alpine mountains in the most beautiful parts of Sweden and Norway.

The Lafuma Vibram team (captain Guillaume Sarti, Elisabeth Reval, Raphael Leloup, and Manu Lang replacing Sylvain Boisset who got injured some weeks ago) has got all abilities for this race. “We trained hard on the orienteering section, and also on the lack of sleep that we will face during the Sweden Explore”.

All the team members have chosen the new LAFUMA Moon Race shoe, with Vibram® TRAILGRIP soles on it (see the photo). “We really need Vibram soles for the grip, the sensitivity and the lightness. The real strength of Vibram is to be good on all terrain and the most important is that we wear soles that we can rely on”.

Vibram is also sponsor of the Explore Sweden with Vibram fivefingers®, its revolutionary foot-glove able to reproduce the barefoot experience while running and walking.
