During the last “Outdoor Retailer Summer Market” held in Salt Lake City (Utah), the “Runner’s World” has announced his decision to award with the “Editor’s choice” the Saucony ProGrid Xodus trailrunning shoe.
As it will explain in its next “Fall Trail Running Shoe Guide”, the magazine has appreciated the shoe’s successful mix between high quality design and technology, and its outstanding softness and lightness.
In order to improve the ProGrid Xodus’s performances, Saucony chose Vibram to realize an exclusive outsole, featuring VIBRAM® TC1 Dura compound, which guarantees grip on smooth surfaces and bite into on-trail soils.
Its different lugs represent the strong point of this sole: broad lugs around its periphery provide stability, comfort, and durability; wedge-shaped lugs in the forefoot are ideal both for uphill thrust and downhill braking; dedicated lugs in the forefoot and heel provide lateral security for off-camber trails. Furthermore, their open-spaced placement keeps mud off of the sole.
