Designed exclusively for Burton, the VIBRAM® Driver X sole is made of VIBRAM® Trek compound for optimum balance between grip and durability. VIBRAM® Driver X sole provides 360 degrees of traction allowing for ascension of the sketchiest boot packs and halfpipe decks with ease. The toe features a snow-cat inspired tread for uphill traction in backcountry hard pack. In the heel, the lugs’ sharp leading edges provide excellent downhill breaking. Along the binding, lugs are flat and wide for maximum stability. Broad spacing between lugs improves snow release and reduces weight. Lug shape, size and position, and compound choice were all balanced to provide the highest level of durability. For improved comfort and minimal weight, the VIBRAM® Driver X sole features an EVA midsole with deep internal flex-grooves in the forefoot that reduce foot fatigue while hiking or walking.
