The onset of this idea arose from initially from mechanical and physical principles, Vibram SpiderWeb is a thinly netted-rubber, consisting of a plethora of interwoven filaments, in which the architecture maintains a spiderweb. Applying this to the outer sole, SpiderWeb provides athletic climbers, who are always searching for additional support from their shoes, with new possibilities.

Thanks to the flexibility and elasticity, these shoes adapt to any shape, SpiderWeb continues adapting even into the smallest of contours.

Ventilation and weightlessness
Throughout the rubber filaments, gives the feeling of nothing but air so that the feet can breathe freely. More than 30% of the SpiderWeb surface is punctured, making it the appropriate solution for climbers who fear that their feet will «overheat» with excessive amounts of rubber.

Guaranteed security
Since these shoes have more rubber, which gives additional support to the majority of climbers. SpiderWeb applies itself to the entire core and superior circumference of the shoes, details that are desirable for most extreme movements, being the «guaranteed grabbing» point using the forefoot.
