At the Friedrichshafen Outdoor Fair held July 17th-20th 2008, the Mammut brand won three out of twenty four Outdoor Industry Awards from the International Forum Design. One of the two Silver Awards earned (the third being a bronze) was given to the mountaineering shoe Mamook GTX, mostly appreciated for its successful mix between functionality, lightweight, and design.
By using hi-tech materials and being hard only where it is required, Mammut’s Mamook GTX ensures lightness, flexibility, and adaptability to the foot. The Mamook GTX has a noteworthy three zone and asymmetric lacing which takes into account the foot’s anatomy and ensures more precise footwork by increasing pressure on the big toe.
The extreme functionality of this shoe was empowered by adding a VIBRAM® Teton™ outsole, a sole conceived to grant the best traction even on the hardest ground.
