Next April 13-16 Vibram will participate as a partner in the 19th edition of the Piolets d’Or, the alpinism celebrations taking place in Chamonix and Courmayeur (France/Italy) and awarding the best ascents in the past year.

The Piolets d’Or aim to promote alpinism as a shared and valued richness all over the world, capable of attracting the best of human ambitions whilst encompassing moral values (team spirit above all) and edifying behaviour (respect for the environment).

The six ascents nominated for the Piolets d’Or 2011 were chosen among 53 enterprises that took place in 19 countries of 5 continents and were accomplished by 138 mountaineers from 22 countries. They represent an ethical and rich in emotion alpinism, as the Piolets d’Or ask for.
