. IDROGRIP
Vibram, the worldwide leader in high performance soles introduces the new reference for grip in a moldable rubber compound. In field testing IdroGrip was noticeably stickier than the competition on wet and dry rock and matted grass. Vibram is bringing IdroGrip to market with leading brands for spring 2009, including Chaco, Cloudveil, Shimano, Simms and Vasque.
. TRAIL RUNNING SOLES
Vibram continues to expand on its successful mission of reaching a younger, broader audience by partnering with innovators in the trail running field. For 2009, Vibram designed outsoles for Hi-Tec, Merrell, Patagonia and Saucony trail running shoes.
. SKI FREERIDE
Thanks to Vibram’s advances in rubber compounding, it is now possible to manoeuvre in alpine ski boots without constant fear of serious injury. Many alpine ski boot manufacturers including Head, Garmont, Lange, Rossignol, Scarpa, and Tecnica have seen the light, replacing some of their slippery plastic soles with a grippy Vibram rubber product.
. SNOWBOARD
Continuing its pursuit of a younger, broader audience, Vibram® strengthens its partnerships with K2 and Burton snowboard boots.
. MULTISPORT AND HIKING
Vibram soles will anchor three multisport and hiking lines, -- 14 shoes in total for Teva. All feature Vibram’s TC1 compound, ideal for wet/icy conditions.
. “GRIP YOUR WORLD” BANNER AD CAMPAIGN
Vibram is reaching out to the ski and snowboard community in a big way with online banner ads on Shred or Die.com, Skinet.com and Transworldsnowboarding.com. The campaign runs through March and began right after Thanksgiving. A warm weather version of the campaign will kick off in spring targeting mountain bikers and trail runners.
