Vibram new products shown at the most important summer Outdoor fair in Europe.

Friedrichshafen, July 21st 2008 - Worldwide, Vibram is synonymous with quality and reliability. That is certainly good news, but not sufficient to ensure success. That’s why during the Friedrichshafen OutDoor Show, held on last 17th-20th of July, the Vibram team provided the indispensable information required to fully grasp the high level of performance provided by Vibram products.

. THE TEST LAB

Each Vibram product is characterised by a rubber compound suited to different types of activity and subjected to three types of tests:

1. A set of tests simulating mechanical efforts
2. "In vivo" biomechanical tests
3. Field tests with the Vibram Tester Team

Each Vibram sole receives its yellow octagon once it meets the set quality criteria.
Vibram test procedures are today the most advanced and the most reliable in the field of footwear.

. COMPOUNDS ALWAYS INNOVATIVE

Each compound is designed for specific purposes and offers certain advantages for different uses. The Vibram R&D team continues its research efforts in close conjunction with the most famous brands in the various market sectors.

Some innovative compounds shown in Friedrichshafen:

• VIBRAM® IceTrek, for a maximum grip on snow-covered and icy terrain (presented at Friedrichshafen Show for the first time)

New soles and new compounds are constantly being designed to enhance performance. Once again, Vibram has widened its range of products through efforts to enhance quality and innovation.

• VIBRAM® Eco Shock, a high-tech trail-running sole for unmatched performance and reliability tech

• VIBRAM® Paw Kid, two-colour compounds for walking shoes intended for children

• VIBRAM® 90'S, designed specially for the parkour, it is technically at ease in a number of different sports, including running, or simply in daily life.

• VIBRAM® Sandalo Traction, the sole made of two-colour rubber and EVA, designed for sandals but also excellent for trekking
